About our Vice Chairman

Andrew Parry

 

Born in Faversham, Kent 23 January 1943.

Educated at Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School, Faversham and University College, London, graduating in Physics.

Employed in various technical positions in the plastics industry, most recently at Portex Ltd. (now Smiths Medical) in Hythe, retiring in May 2003 after nearly 30 years.

Also, served for 19 years as a Member Trustee and Director of the Smiths Industries Pension Fund.

Served as Churchwarden at Ss. Peter and Paul, Dymchurch for 10 years and as a member of the South Lympne Deanery Synod for many years including one year as Lay Chairman. Also served as a governor of Dymchurch County Primary School for 9 years.

Married to Gabrielle for 37 years with 4 sons and 4 grandchildren and living in Dymchurch for 31 years. 

Interests include music (currently studying at Christ Church University College, Canterbury), natural history, especially bird life, having been an active member of the RSPB for 40 years and gardening.
